In the heart of Bolognano, a small town in Abruzzo, custodian of great treasures and traditions, the Zaccagnini company was born in 1978.
From a family-run business, the winery has grown rapidly and constantly with the aim of "total quality, from the bunch to the glass", becoming today an international reality with over 300 hectares of splendid vineyards, cared for and controlled at every stage of production. The combination of Wine and Art, two forms of eternal pleasure that expose life and reveal its secrets, is the concept that summarizes the company philosophy. The attachment of the Zaccagnini winery to art is manifested with the first memorable event on 5/13/1984 with the presentation of the “Defense of Nature” project by the world-famous German master, Joseph Beuys. Subsequently, the company organized artistic events such as "A flower for Ivan", "Uvarte", "Prisco prize", "Tralcetto dell'amico" and "Lazy, singer-songwriters in the vineyard", in homage to Ivan Graziani. Art has inspired, in various forms, the architecture of the winery. Crossing the gate, depicting the image of the label created by the master Pietro Cascella, you immediately feel the love for art. Among the vineyards and in the cellar you can admire the works of various artists, such as Dino Colalongo, Franco Summa, Bizhan Bassiri, David Bade, Mimmo Paladino, Gino Sabatini Odoardi, Pietro Cascella and Mauro Berrettini. Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino and Passerina are the native Abruzzo vines that Zaccagnini has made into true excellences in the world.
