Château Malescot Saint-Exupéry is a French winery in the Margaux appellation, located on the Médoc peninsula. The Malescot St. Exupery is actually a castle surrounded by a 45-hectare vineyard, of which 30 hectares of vineyards are located in Margaux, Gironde. The winery was born in the sixteenth century and the Malescot family remained owners of the estate for over a century. In 1827, in fact, Jean-Baptiste de Saint-Exupery, father of the famous aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, acquired the property and decided to add his name to that of the castle. There will be various changes in ownership and management over time, until 1955 when Paul Zuger and his son Roger purchased the estate, where however only seven hectares of vineyards remained. It will therefore take another thirty years of effort to restore the initial situation, with Malescot's triumphant coat of arms and his motto "Semper ad altum". The vineyards are planted with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon grape, 35% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The typical Bordeaux blend produces wines of great structure, power, but also balanced and elegant. An undoubtedly excellent production.
