Trabucchi d'Illasi

The winery was founded in 1925 and its lands extend across Valpolicella and the Soave lands, on the top of Monte Tenda. For Giuseppe Trabucchi, the true soul of the company, the company philosophy must reflect his thoughts, that is, that the wine can tell the story of the territory in which it is born: in his case the Val d'Illasi. For this reason it tries to maximize the characteristics that the exposure, the soil and the climate of this valley give to these grapes. The vineyards are located in plots in various areas of the valley and around the villa, so as to be able to make the most of the different characteristics of each individual area. The vineyards are trained using the Guyot method, they are not weeded and organic fertilization is carried out in spring. The drying of the grapes is carried out on racks in a ventilated environment, to avoid mould. the winery is organically run and has a modern layout with a refined architectural taste and is arranged over three buildings: the first dating back to the 19th century, the second from the 1990s and the third, in operation since 2003, spread over three underground floors connected to the historic cellar through a tunnel. In these rooms we proceed with the maturation and refinement of the grapes, which undergo an initial passage in barriques and a subsequent passage in barrels. The wines produced by this typical winery are full of color and have intense and decisive fruity aromas, also characterized by great elegance and balance. A winery that knows how to describe its territory, made up of intense aromas and exciting tastes.
