Winery of Ruvo di Puglia - Crifo

Grifo - Winery of Ruvo di Puglia

The Cantina di Ruvo di Puglia was founded as a cooperative of winemakers in 1960, evolving over the years from a simple producer of musts to an award-winning winery. The grapes contributed by the members mainly belong to the 5 native varieties of the limestone territory surrounding Castel del Monte, between the provinces of Bari and Barletta-Andria-Trani.
Today the Ruvo di Puglia winery is one of the most important wine producers in southern Italy with over 500 members, deliveries exceeding 10,000 tons of grapes per harvest and absolute leadership in the production and sale of Nero di Troia in the 0 bottle format .75 l. The "Crifo" brand, acronym of the original denomination "Cantina della Riforma Fondiaria" and the Griffon, a mythological animal that the ancient builders sculpted on the facade of the cathedral of Ruvo di Puglia, sign the best bottled wines.
