Contadi Castaldi

Contadi Castaldi was founded in 1991 in Adro, one of the 19 municipalities in the Brescia area authorized to produce grapes for the “Franciacorta” and “Terre di Franciacorta” denominations. A relatively young company, but the result of the Moretti family's ancient passion for this territory, for these grapes and for these wines. The glory and pride of Contadi Castaldi is having explored and developed the concept of "Satèn": this French term indicates sparkling wines which have less pressure inside the bottle and, for this reason, are particularly silky, almost creamy, and with a soft and light perlage.

These characteristics give it a very particular personality, recalling the great French "Blanc de Blancs" and "Crémant". For the production of Satèn, only white grapes are used, such as Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.

The Contadi Castaldi company has 18 hectares of vineyards and a 7,000 m2 cellar. which hosts the entire production cycle. Furthermore, it also has ample space for research and experimentation, which are also stimulated through the organization of wine training masters: a laboratory of ideas that attracts talent and contributes to the company's continuous innovation.

Contadi Castaldi is today a real point of reference for Franciacorta, in particular for Satèn.
