The San Paolo Producers Cellar, a historic cooperative in Alto Adige (1907), has embarked on the path of innovation for some years and is now experiencing a rebirth which will lead it to become one of the most important wineries in Alto Adige. This "resurgence" also occurred thanks to the young team that manages it, highly motivated and attentive to quality in the vineyard and cellar. History: the Cantina Produttori San Paolo cooperative was born in 1907: 36 winemakers from San Paolo, Missiano, Monte and Riva di Sotto participated in the founding assembly. In 1914, the number of members rose to 60. The cellars were equipped with modern equipment. In 1920, a Saurer brand truck was purchased, one of the first in the area. Already in the 1920s, quality was the object of great attention: members were required to plant only "valuable vines", as we read in the chronicles of the time, and the possibility of protecting quality wines, especially those of the Missiano area. 1957 marked the 50th anniversary of the winery, which recorded the following numbers in sharp growth: 141 members, 17,000 quintals of must and 27,000 hl of wine in terms of storage capacity. By the time of its 60th anniversary in 1967, the winery already had 162 members. In 1968, a fully automatic bottling plant was purchased. In 1992 the 85th anniversary of the foundation was celebrated, transforming the existing point of sale into a modern wine shop with an adjoining seminar room. In 2007 the Cantina San Paolo, which in the meantime has 215 members, celebrates the centenary of its foundation. On this occasion, the new flagship range "PASSION" is presented to the public, which represents our passion for quality.
