Lágrimas de Dolores

Lágrimas de Dolores is an exceptional line of mezcal, whose production began about 10 years ago by the Gutierrez family within a beautiful farm that dates back to the seventeenth century. The Hacienda Dolores is located in Northern Mexico, in the state of Durango, in the municipality of Mezquital: it is here that a particular variety of agave is grown: the agave durangensis, from which the Mezcal Lágrimas de Dolores are 100% produced and no type of sugar is added, as can happen in the production of tequila. Agave durangensis is a native plant found only in this region of Mexico: 32,000 plants are cultivated which give life to three different types of mezcales: Mezcal Joven, transparent, Mezcal Anejio, with its characteristic amber color and Mezcal Agave Cenizo III, the pride of the company, obtained from the finest mezcales distilled a third time to obtain what the company defines as a true nectar. Even the bottle that contains it, of French design, refers to Mexico and, thanks to small leather details, refers to the national culture and passion for horses. The Mezcal produced by Dolores follows, with meticulous attention, the details of the traditional recipe, thus resulting in an extremely qualitative and appreciated product.
