The SELVA CAPUZZA farm is located about 4 km south-east of Lake Garda, a few km from Sirmione and Desenzano, in the DOC area of San Martino della Battaglia. The farm produces both white wines and fine red wines; the former derive mostly from the Trebbiano vine, called "Lugana" in the area (from the name of the production area). The vineyards are located between 110 and 130 meters above sea level (between 60 and 80 meters above lake level) and the winery takes its name from the area: Capuzza in fact means hood and indicates the particular position of the vineyards. As regards red grape wines, they mostly come from native vines, such as the "Garda Classico Groppello San Biagio" which is produced from the Groppello vine, whose name fully describes its characteristics, that is, a very compact with small grains and thin skin. A very interesting winery, coming from a wine-growing area in full expansion: a must try!
