Giulia Negri - Serradenari

For over 150 years the Negri family has been dedicated to the production of Barolo in La Morra and Serradenari, in the heart of the Langhe, in Piedmont. The Serradenari winery is a winery of excellence, rooted in the territory and with numerous international awards. When her family gives her the opportunity to cultivate some land, Giulia Negri begins her own winemaking adventure. Giulia also designs and builds a small custom-made cellar. Thus was born Serradenari & Giulia Negri where the classic Serradenari wines are added to those made by herself. The Serradenari vineyards are among the highest in the production area of the famous Barolo DOCG. Here wines are produced with native grapes of the area such as Nebbiolo, but also non-native grapes such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines grow with clones transplanted from Burgundy, the original land of Pinot Noir. The wines of the Serradenari & Giulia Negri winery mostly age in tonneaux, medium-sized wooden barrels. Fermentation is natural and after aging the wine is refined in glass bottles. Serradenari & Giulia Negri's production is the expression of the exclusive terroir of the area. All wines are produced with grapes grown on the family's land. In addition to Barolo, Serradenari produces a red wine called Renoir, obtained from the combination of Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir and a fresh Barbera d'Alba. Giulia Negri, in addition to the classic reds, to complete the range produces a white wine with pure Chardonnay, very elegant and intriguing.
