Cantine Carpentiere

Cantine Carpentiere
Information
Region: Puglia (Italian wines)
Address: External road Bagnoli, 70033 Corato

The Carpentiere cellars were born in Puglia, in Corato, in the area of the Alta Murgia national park, between farms and manors, on the hills of Castel Del Monte. The vineyards are grown on a sunny plateau, in a fertile and generous context that produces rich, quality grapes; they grow about 400 meters above sea level, cultivated as espaliers or saplings, without the use of machinery, according to the authentic Apulian wine tradition. In a land rich in limestone and alluvial pebbles, the Carpentiere cellars grow native grapes, Nero di Troia and Bombino Nero and internationally known vines such as Sauvignon and Merlot. The soil is sandy and rich in sedimented rocks, the classic karst soil typical of the Apulian region which gives the wines minerality and an intense, fresh flavour. The grape retains its characteristic acidity thanks to ideal climatic conditions, with heat during the day and cool at night. The wines produced from these grapes are full-bodied, balanced and with excellent aging potential.
