Domaine Sylvain Gaudron

Since 1890, the Gaudron family has been present in Vernou and manages vineyards. In recent decades, quality has become a primary objective. Furthermore, it is important to underline that approximately two thirds of the vines are on average at least thirty years old, therefore production is quantitatively reduced but qualitatively high and that all the vines grown in the Vouvray denomination area are of the Chenin variety, also known as Pineau de la Loire . Some vintages, the best, are aged in oak barrels for several months to give them the complexity and elegance of which this wine is capable. The underground part of the cellar extends for approximately 1 km with galleries dug into the rock which represent the ideal place for the aging of wine.
