Franco Mondo

Founded in 1945, the Mondo family has always managed this small but precious winery, located in the heart of the most suitable area for Barbera, the Nizza Monferrato area. Valerio, son of the founder Franco, is an expert oenologist and works in the cellar on the preparation of the wines (60% is Barbera), assisted by his daughter Beatrice, the new and promising member of the family, while Franco still works in the vineyard, with a skilled and expert. Among the top wines - all of Mondo's wine production is DOC and DOCG - Barbera d'Asti naturally occupies an important position with the gem of the company's production, namely the Nizza docg "Le Rose", a barbera of great intensity and structure; Also absolutely noteworthy is the Passito di Moscato "Sileo". To complete the range there are other wines: Moscato d'Asti, Passito di Moscato, Cortese dell'Alto Monferrato, Monferrato Bianco, Monferrato Rosso, Monferrato Dolcetto and the Grappa obtained by artfully distilling the pomace of Moscato and Barbera.
