Masi

The history of Masi originates back in 1772 with its roots in the most genuine and authentic Venetian wine tradition. The most authentic and representative motto of the winery is: "saver do and do saver". In fact, Agricola Masi is recognized as one of the wineries most attentive to the protection of old native vines in danger of extinction such as Oseleta.
The name Masi derives from "Vaio dei Masi", i.e. the name of a valley purchased at the end of the 19th century by the Boscaini family, who still own the company today. Masi's great objective was to continually improve the quality of its labels and to confirm itself as a leading player in the world of wine, year after year, consistently. Thanks to this indisputable prerogative, today we can taste the excellent quality of Masi bottles, starting from a wide range of Amarone, the true symbol of Valpolicella, an area of Veneto that has now reached the top of Italian wine production. The Masi Technical Group aims for quality over time: thoughtful and targeted use of wooden aging barrels, revisiting drying techniques and achieving the highest innovative and technological standards in the winemaking phase, are just a few examples. But Masi doesn't just mean Amarone: it also produces excellent red wines using typical vines such as Corvina and Rondinella. Furthermore, today the Masi winery owns two estates in Tuscany and Argentina in the Tupungato Valley, with the desire to transfer the know-how gained over time, well beyond national borders. This element confirms the innovative mentality of the Boscaini family, which expertly combines its bond with the territory with a great ability to update technology: this is the key that allows us today to appreciate the great bottles signed by Masi.
