The company takes its name from the castle of the ancient owner Faglia, located on a hill of morainic origin at 300 meters above sea level from whose slopes the vineyards extend. Thanks to the perfect exposure, the stony soil and the ideal microclimate, a unique grape is obtained because it is produced in an environment with unparalleled characteristics. For Castel Faglia, the selection of the grapes with which to produce its Franciacorta is of fundamental importance. Castel Faglia in fact obtains its grapes not from large vineyards, but from small plots cultivated as precious gardens, the result of which is to develop bunches with different aromatic characteristics. The vineyards of Castel Faglia, covering approximately 17 hectares, as per the Franciacorta regulations, are solely composed of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Noir vines. The property belongs to the Cavicchioli family, winemakers and producers of award-winning and renowned wines since 1928. Surrounded by woods and vineyards, it is built under a hill to have a low environmental and energy impact. The underground part where the bottles are placed for aging for several years guarantees optimal low temperature conditions in summer, avoiding temperature variations in every season. Truly amazing wines, especially the Monogram line.
