Limestone Branch Distillery

Limestone Branch Distillery is one of the oldest distilleries in Kentucky. The story even starts in 1795 when Jacob Beam sold his first barrels of "corn whiskey", now known as bourbon. The first distillery was located not too far from where Limestone Branch is today. Several generations of the family followed, until the fifth, in the 1930s. Guy Beam became a famous master distiller, with experience in numerous distilleries, including Yellowstone. Prohibition did not stifle his passion. And so we proceed until we reach the 2000s with Stephen and Paul Beam carrying on the family tradition. In October 2010, the two Beam brothers decided to found Limestone Branch Distillers Inc. a few steps from their ancestors' distilleries and where local waters rich in precious minerals are always available. With financial help from close family members, the new distillery truly becomes a family affair. In 2011 we have the official opening of the distillery. Today, when you visit Limestone Branch Distillery, you can't help but feel the history that helped shape it.
