It all began with the activity of great-grandfather Giovanni, who at the end of the 19th century began trading wine in a small food emporium in the Asti area. It was his son Ercole who in 1921, then in his early twenties, gave new life to the company with his foresight and freshness. Together with his brother Nando, he moved to Alba, where he rented a small cellar in the historic center and began marketing the wines produced from the area's fine native grapes, in turn experimenting with the winemaking process. Given the success of the business first and then of his experiments, in 1939 he purchased the Tenuta Loirano and achieved the real leap in quality; Some of the most suitable plots of land under vineyards in the Barolo denomination still belong to the aforementioned estate. As the years passed, it was the son who took care of the family business and followed his grandson, bringing to four the generations that the Rivetto family has devoted to the cause of great wines in the Langhe. Today, more than a century after it all began, the company still has enormous respect for its land, working in the name of eco-compatibility and energy autonomy, with alternative, renewable energy sources and totally natural materials . It is in this context that wines are born that contain at the same time the poetry of an ancient history and the relevance of a new philosophy, but above all that respect the identity of the vine and those that are the best peculiarities of the terroir of origin.
