Tenuta Sette Cieli

On the top of the hills above Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri, long rows of vines extend, giving rise to a spectacular and magical panorama; it is here that Tenuta Sette Cieli was born in 1998, overlooking the Bolgheri amphitheater and overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. In this alternation of hills and terraced vineyards, a mild and temperate climate has been created over the centuries, perfect for the growth and development of the vineyards. In 2001 the first plants were planted and to date the surface area of vineyard land is approximately fifteen hectares, of which ten at 400 meters above sea level and five of DOC Bolgheri, just 30 meters above sea level. In the lower part of the vineyards the soil is characterized by clay and red-orange sands, with few rocks and sediments of alluvial origin; in the highest part, however, the soil is predominantly rocky, but in both cases the context is exceptionally suited to the cultivation of vines. All the territorial factors combine very amiably with the winds and mild temperatures brought by the sea and create a perfect basin for producing wine in harmony with nature. The cultivation is strictly organic and every intervention in the vineyard is carried out strictly by hand, so as not to alter these precious conditions and preserve the naturalness of the product as much as possible, with the awareness that each plant is different and each one requires different attention. The operations in the cellar take place with the same almost obsessive care, with each plot of land vinified separately from the others and following spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts. The identity of the territory and respect for it are always in first place and this is why only high quality wines are produced from Tenuta Sette Cieli, capable of reflecting the surrounding nature and bringing value to that territory so dear to those who work the land and the cellar.
