Sa Raja literally means "furrow" in the Sardinian language and this is probably the objective that the young Sardinian winery has set itself: to leave a mark in the context of Sardinian viticulture and, specifically, of Gallura. This territory is harsh, but also so rich in energy and natural strength: here you meet the hardness of the granite rock, the cleanliness of the north winds, the light of the sea and the heat of the sun. Here the production of the Sa Raja winery comes to life, which has as its objective the creation of wines strongly territorial, which therefore wants to give a faithful representation of the land from which they originate. The Sa Raja vineyards are very high in altitude: they extend to around 500 meters above sea level in the 3 municipalities of the Gallura area, with very favorable soil and climate conditions. The landscape is primordial: holm oaks, centuries-old cork trees and Mediterranean scrub.Sa Raja, pursuing its objective of valorising the territory, cultivates the typical Sardinian native vines such as Vermentino, Cannonau and Carignano; here the vines sink into sandy soils of granite origin and are caressed by the Mistral and the Grecale, which protect them from high humidity and allow the beneficial action of the sun. And that's exactly how it is: each label is capable of evoking the terroir from which it comes. The winery therefore gives life to balanced and strongly typical wines, made with wisdom and mastery, despite the young age of the winery. Sa Raja is unique precisely for this: skills and passion that have allowed us to obtain absolutely appreciable results, right from the first years of the cellar's life. And we therefore wonder what the next results will be, if wines of excellent workmanship, great balance and personality are obtained from the first harvests.
