Villa della Torre is a wonderful Renaissance villa, built between 1440 and 1562 by the masters Giulio Romano and Michele Sanmicheli, in the style of an ancient Roman Domus; we are in Fumane, in Valpolicella, and this is a project born from the will of Marlisa Allegrini who, in 2008, fell in love with this splendid residence and decided to transform it, not only into a winery, but also into a venue for cultural and events. The Allegrini family, Venetian for centuries-old traditions, ranks among the most important Italian producers and, in addition to the well-known cellar in Valpolicella, produces excellent wines on the San Polo estate in Montalcino and in Poggio al Tesoro, in Bolgheri. Marlisa Allegrini wanted to bring the historic building back to its ancient splendor and at the same time restore the ancient vineyards to produce excellent wines in the suitable lands of Valpolicella. Villa della Torre has thus become the prestigious brand of the Allegrini family which unites not only wine, but also the culture and artistic traditions of the Verona area. Today the management of the structure is entrusted to the experience and passion of the daughters Carlotta and Caterina. There are only two wines produced under the Villa della Torre brand, made in two different areas, to give life to a great red and a great white : Valpolicella and the Lugana area. The Valpolicella Classico Superiore comes from the grapes of the vineyards surrounding the Villa and are the native Corvinone and Corvina, a tribute to tradition. The white, however, is produced near Desenzano del Garda. The particularly mild and breezy climate allows the Turbiana vine (local definition of Trebbiano) to produce bunches with very elegant and complex aromas. Two truly excellent labels that embellish the Allegrini family's wine offering.
