Zorzettig is a family business which, over time, has won the favor of the public and critics, both in Italy and abroad, where it exports around 50% of its production. The main nucleus of the company is located on the hills of Spessa di Cividale, in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, an ideal place for viticulture, thanks to a unique terroir and microclimate. The latest generation is led by Annalisa Zorzettig who took over the management of the family winery ten years ago; the guidelines that guide Annalisa Zorzettig's thought and work are nature, authenticity, evolution, quality. And this is where the success of his wines comes from. The winery is located on one of the highest hills in the Spessa di Cividale area, which has always been suited to viticulture. The vineyards, although located in different areas, benefit from an ideal terroir and microclimate, protected by the Alps and kissed by the breezes of the Adriatic Sea. Today the estate has approximately 115 hectares of property divided into 3 distinct areas: the Spessa Vineyards extend around the company headquarters, a stone's throw from Cividale; here the quality of the land and the south-south-east exposure of the hills have made native vines such as Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Picolit and, among the reds, Pignolo protagonists. The hills of Ipplis, however, on which the Relais also stands, enjoy excellent sun exposure, becoming home to long-lived native white vines, such as Malvasia, whose oldest vines are 80 years old. Even Sauvignon, although a non-native vine, expresses itself to its full potential in this area. Lastly, the vineyards located on the Novacuzzo Hills in Prepotto, the Colli Orientali area bathed by the Judrio river, enjoy an ideal terroir for vines such as Schioppettino, the local prince of these lands, and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, but find a home ancient hip plants from Tocai (Friulano) dating back to the Thirties, the pride of the Zorzettig family, and two "international" varieties such as Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon, for whites of extraordinary finesse and aromatic complexity. A wide range of high quality wines with a stylistic signature always oriented towards elegance, but firmly linked to the territory of origin.
