The origins of this cellar really date back to centuries ago: the discovery of a carved stone, used as a border signal; adequate studies confirmed that those lands had been owned by a branch of the noble Florentine Medici dynasty, which moved to the Kingdom of Naples in the mid-sixteenth century and did its utmost in the following centuries to modernize and improve the cultivation methods and the quality of Vesuvian wines . Grandfather Raffaele, in the first decades of the 20th century, rediscovered this ancient passion for viticulture which led to the first winemaking experiments in the cellar of an eighteenth-century farmhouse owned by the family. In 1996 the agricultural company was founded and in 2014, the desire to honor grandfather Raffaele's passion pushed his grandchildren, Emiddia, Sonia, Lella and Giuseppe to found the "Winery" and to begin the production of Bosco de' brand wines. Doctors. In the eight hectares of vineyard, divided into small parcels, in a territory, that of Vesuvius, which is in itself very fragmented, an ancient, in some ways heroic, viticulture is practiced on vines that are largely "ungrafted", therefore very exposed to parasites, mold, etc. , in an area with volcanic soil. The Palomba family thus created a modern cellar where the elegant wines offered come to life, a structure equipped with modern steel silos and cutting-edge machinery for winemaking. The amphorae and the barrel room are then created, i.e. the place where, between terracotta amphorae and oak barrels of different sizes, the wines have the opportunity to evolve and refine as best as possible and fully express their finesse. And then there is the elegant room for tasting local products and delicacies. Thus, wines are born, the children of a production philosophy that has as its principle the thousand-year experience of Vesuvian wines, the uniqueness of this terroir, the concepts of cru and zoning, sustainability and experimentation, but above all biodynamics as a regulating principle of all things, practices that reunite man's interpretative abilities with nature itself. through native vines such as Piedirosso, Caprettone, Aglianico and Falanghina.
