A wine-growing reality, that of the Caleffi winery, truly particular, at least for the area in which it is located. We are in fact between the provinces of Mantua and Cremona, at the confluence of the Oglio river into the Po. An area of marshy origin, called Regone. A land that the will and determination of man has wrested from brambles and thorns - hence the name Spineda - transforming it into fertile soil. The Caleffi winery is managed by the brothers Davide and Emanuele who have been cultivating the historic family vineyards for years, handed down over time from father to son. This means favoring the production of petillant wines, as the French say, or with bubbles. This is the local tradition which also sees perfect combinations with typical local products, such as Parmigiano Reggiano. For this reason the Caleffi brothers recover the ancestral production method of refermentation in the bottle. Hence the production almost exclusively of wines based on the native Ancellotta vine and the consequent production of Lambrusco, a great and popular local wine, in all its intense, free-range and inky nuances.
