In the Valle dei Laghi, not far from the northern shores of Lake Garda, in the province of Trento, a winery with a modern spirit and, at the same time, strongly rooted in the tradition of the area was founded in 1974. The architects of the project are Gianni Chistè, Domenico Pedrini and Mario Zambarda, the three souls of Pravis who, thanks to their passion for wine and a strong bond of friendship, create an ambitious project, aimed at enhancing a heritage made of work, hard work, continuous challenges in the vineyard and in the cellar, creating unique, unmistakable wines. And in fact they declare: “For us lives and life really have the same meaning. Why have we never doubted the importance of working in harmony with what surrounds us. A landscape punctuated by mountains, bathed by lakes, between medieval castles and lots of rurality. Bastions of a wine culture that transforms into rural culture". The estate is made up of many small plots distributed on the southern slopes of the mountains that separate Trento from Lower Sarca, between the Brenta Dolomites and Lake Garda; here the choice of the cellar is precise, in terms of vines, that is, the most traditional Trentino varieties, such as nosiola, are placed alongside the so-called "international" vines, such as merlot, cabernet, chardonnay, without ever losing the taste for research and the recovery of vines at risk of extinction, experimenting with cultivation even at higher altitudes, convinced that experimentation and tradition must move hand in hand. Today, after about forty years of activity, this cultural heritage and winemaking experience has passed to the second generation, in the figure of Giulia Pedrini, but also of her sister Erika, an oenologist who, together with the founders, less present in the company today, carry on , with pride and determination, the Trentino roots, which have always been the matrix of the work and the brilliant results obtained.
