Manni Nössing

1999 was the turning point for Manni Nössing: he decided that the time had come to take the big step, starting to make wine on his own, creating his own labels, especially white wines. In fact, traditionally the grapes, which grow in the best wine-growing areas of the Bressanone basin, were given by the family to the local cooperative winery. Manni is a young and passionate winemaker, coming from a family that has always been dedicated to agriculture and breeding, owner of a farm called "Hoandlhof". Today, thanks to a great passion and above all to preparation, study and a strong aptitude for research and innovation, he is one of the new personalities in the world of South Tyrolean wine; he meticulously takes care of his 6 hectares of vineyard, where every action is aimed at the creation of great labels. It is curious that Alto Adige is among the Italian regions whose surface area dedicated to vine cultivation is among the smallest. But thanks to its particular geographical position and its different terroirs, it is able to give life to great wines, especially white ones. This is Manni's position: the production of white wines of absolute excellence. Since that distant 1999, passion and perseverance have been the watchwords that led him in 2003 to complete the construction of the new cellar, integrated within the family farm. Thanks to the quality of his wines, but also thanks to his friendliness and resourcefulness, success came almost immediately for Manni Nössing. The hard work was therefore amply rewarded through prestigious awards from the main sector guides, both Italian and foreign. Today the company produces around 25,000 bottles, mainly of white wines, divided among the most well-known varieties in Alto Adige: kerner, gewürztraminer, sylvaner, müller thurgau and grüner veltliner, truly excellent wines.
