Aberfeldy Distillery is a historic Scottish distillery dating back to the late 1800s, founded by the Dewar brothers, driven and motivated above all by the strong growth of Blended Whiskeys that reigned at the time. They were among the first, in Scotland, to want to bottle and market their own "mixed drinks" and thanks to their ingenuity they quickly managed to produce some of the highest quality, including the White Label, their trademark and flagship product. The main distillery is located on the bank of the great River Tay, in conjunction with the railway line that cuts through the Highlands and is the only one in all of Scotland to use the water necessary for production from one of its streams; thanks to this very strategic geographical position, Aberfeldy Distillery managed to survive the two closures during the world wars and resume its activity as an industry leader in the following period. In 2000, “Dewar's World of Whisky” was established, a visitor center designed to introduce the production and world of Blended Whiskeys to all the thousands of tourists who flock every year. Aberfeldy currently produces three different age labels: twelve year, eighteen year and twenty-one year; the youngest and oldest of these, between 2007 and 2012, won medals at the "San Francisco World Spirits Competition". A production of excellence, known and coveted throughout the world.
