The Azienda Agricola Il Marroneto is a small winery located in Montalcino, Tuscany, immersed in the Ilcinese hills considered among the most suitable for viticulture in the world. Founded in 1974 by Giuseppe Mori, the company has specialized in the production of high quality red wines, one above all of course the celebrated Brunello, using native grapes such as Sangiovese. The Il Marroneto Farm is known for its attention to sustainable agricultural practices and for the use of traditional winemaking techniques, which preserve the quality and uniqueness of its wines. The winery has vineyards located in steep portions of the hill, just outside the historic walls of the city and which even required terracing in order to be cultivated; for this reason they benefit from the ideal climatic conditions for the production of high quality wines. The wines of the Il Marroneto farm are appreciated for their elegance and complexity and have been awarded in numerous wine competitions at national and international level. The winery also offers guided tours and tastings to introduce its wines and philosophy to visitors. Furthermore, Il Marroneto is committed to environmental sustainability initiatives, through the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices and the reduction of the environmental impact of its business. Today the company is managed by his son Alessandro who has been able to combine tradition and innovation to produce wines of the highest quality, truly long-lived and sought after by the most demanding enthusiasts all over the world.
