Rovellotti

Rovellotti has been producing wine since 1972: the winery was founded by Antonello and Paolo Rovellotti in the heart of the ancient Ricetto di Ghemme, a fortified medieval neighborhood that was once wine supplier to the Sforza Court. It is located in the countryside of Upper Piedmont and represents one of the highest expressions of quality of local production.

The vineyard consists of 25 hectares and develops on the first moraine hill of Ghemme in the Baraggiole sub-area. The Rovellotti winery is firmly anchored to the viticultural traditions of the area, but with some openings: the vineyards on which the work is mainly concentrated are Nebbiolo , Vespolina , Uva Rara and Erbaluce , but there is no shortage of Cabernet, Merlot and Pinot Noir. Chemical treatments are reduced to the essential, with a view to sincere respect for the environment.

The most important reds, such as Ghemme Chioso dei Pomi , are left to refine for a long time in oak barrels in the historic cellars inside the Castle. All Rovellotti wines have in common a great clarity and cleanliness, personality and typicality, they are wines capable of exciting. The Rovellotti family carries out their activity as winemakers according to the rules and techniques handed down from a 600-year-long tradition that sees solid continuity in technological innovation.
