It is easy to understand that the history of Livio Felluga and his wine is intertwined with the history of that particular land surrounding the extreme north-east of the Adriatic, the point of contact between the Mediterranean and central Europe. It is the story of a family that went through two world wars, lived in the Austro-Hungarian Empire first and then in the young Kingdom of Italy, lived on the rocky coast of the Istrian peninsula and in the lagoon Grado, then settled on the gentle spurs of the hills of Friuli. Livio Felluga had to undertake a new battle to resurrect the hill, convinced that only the rebirth of quality cultivation could bring life back to the Friulian countryside. With great courage he began to rearrange the old vineyards and plant new ones, introducing innovative ideas and methods. Hard work done with great stubbornness and passion which over the years will lead him to create one of the most beautiful and significant corporate realities, rightfully acquiring the unanimously recognized title of re-founder of the Friulian wine tradition . Patriarch Livio Felluga passed away at the age of 102 in December 2016. His pursuit of success is destined to continue under the banner of full, absolute and even stubborn devotion to the land. Today the company boasts a hilly extension in the Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli of over 160 hectares of property, of which 155 are vineyards. From these plants, only great wines with unmistakable aromas and aromas: they are the wines of the "geographical map".
