The Lisini Agricultural Company has very ancient origins in Montalcino. Its ancient roots date back to the Ilcinese territory as far back as the mid-16th century, as evidenced by the oldest documents contained in the family archive. Since then, through several generations, the activity and ownership of the company have been handed down from father to son. Recently, great impetus was given by the enterprising Elina Lisini who, in 1962, became administrator and remained so until 2009, the year of her death. The passion and tenacity that have always characterized his work were the key to the success and fame of the Lisini Company, winning a challenge that was not easy in the 60s and 70s in which the countryside was largely abandoned in favor of the more profitable work in the cities during the industrial miracle boom. In 1967 Elina founded, together with 24 other companies, the Brunello di Montalcino Consortium and was its President for a certain period. Currently his nephews Carlo, Lorenzo and Ludovica are the continuers and heirs, in the name of an ancient tradition, of his work.
The heart of the company, cellars and offices, is located 8 kilometers from the center of Montalcino, in the hamlet of Sant'Angelo in Colle. The ancient farm is surrounded by 154 hectares of land, 20 of which are covered with vineyards that benefit from ideal environmental conditions for the production of Sangiovese Grosso, the only grape variety present in the vineyards, which gives this wonderful wine which is Brunello di Montalcino signed by Lisini . If the geographical position and the exposure of the vineyards play a fundamental role in achieving quality, an equally important role is played by the people who have worked for years with passion and dedication in order to always keep their products at the highest levels. Wines of great class, traditional, austere, long-lived, recognized for their excellent quality throughout the world.
