The Caprili winery is located in the heart of the Tuscan hills and precisely in Montalcino, one of the most suitable wine-growing areas in the world. It was founded in 1965 by Alfo Bartolommei who from a simple sharecropper became the owner of Podere Caprili, the historic property of the Castelli-Martinozzi family, owners of the Villa Santa Restituta estate. In that year, Alfo planted the first vineyard, nicknamed Madre, and still active today. The vineyard area of the Caprili winery today is 20 hectares, most of which is cultivated with Sangiovese Grosso, from which the famous Brunello di Montalcino is produced. Over time, Alfo was joined by his sons Paolo and Giacomo who took on the role of winemakers in the cellar where the classic range of Ilcinese wines is produced, including the famous Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino and Moscadello. The winery's vineyards are located in strategic positions, which offer spectacular views of the Tuscan countryside and an ideal microclimate for growing vines. The secret of the Caprili winery's success lies in its production philosophy, which focuses on quality and sustainability.
