The history of this winery was born with Sergio Zenato, in the early 1960s, which, thanks to his intuitions and entrepreneurial skills, has over time become one of the most important realities in the area on the shores of Lake Garda, especially for the production of white wines, primarily Lugana. A story from here it then reached the hills of nearby Valpolicella where, from the sunny vineyards of the typical vines of the area, namely Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara in the municipality of Sant'Ambrogio, the company's reds are born. Two faces, one white, the other red, both emblems of quality wines born from profound passion for the territory, from respect for time, from a family tradition that has valorised local varieties for over 60 years. Today, over 60 years later, the results tell the extraordinary value of that vision from which a great winery originated which has Sergio Zenato's family as its protagonist, namely his wife Carla and his children Alberto and Nadia, worthy heirs of the patriarch. There are therefore 95 hectares of vineyards in the most suitable areas of Lugana, in the Zenato di S. Cristina estate in San Benedetto di Lugana and in the Costalunga estate in Valpolicella, home of the famous Amarone Zenato, which is home to the renowned vines of the area. Straddling Lombardy and Veneto, between the municipalities of Sirmione and Peschiera, a few steps from the southern shore of Lake Garda, you can breathe a particular climate, tempered by the mass of water of the lake; a breathtaking landscape, made special by the hilly amphitheater shaped thousands of years ago by the action of glacial moraines. This is the origin of the land that they hide the secret of the uniqueness of deep and humid clays, rich in mineral salts, capable of giving the land a natural vocation for growing vines, in particular the native Trebbiano di Lugana vine. Elegant, profound wines that do not betray their territorial origin, rather they enhance their specificity and uniqueness.
