Barone Pizzini

This historic company founded in Provaglio d'Iseo way back in 1870 by Baron Giulio Pizzini Piomarta Von Thurberg has a long history behind it. For several decades it has been profoundly renewed at the hands of a group of passionate entrepreneurs from Brescia: Ugo Colombo, Piermatteo Ghitti and Silvano Brescianini. In 1998, the choice of sustainable agriculture was fundamental and therefore it became the first winery in Franciacorta to embrace the cause of organic viticulture and today, alongside the search for quality and excellence, this difficult but highly satisfying commitment continues. The winery's vineyards extend for a total of 47 hectares, divided into 25 parcels between the municipalities of Provaglio, Corte Franca, Ado and Passirado. The richness of the land is crucial for the production of high quality grapes: the Barone Pizzini plots are located at around 200 meters above sea level and on partly morainic soils, enriched by fluvioglacial deposits. As we have seen, the cultivation methods are organic and have as their objective the harmonious objective of the plant, with the reduction of synthetic chemistry to a minimum, therefore with the production of rich, qualitative grapes, a guarantee for the health of the consumer and the protection of the environment and territory. The harvested grapes are conveyed and vinified in an ultra-modern cellar, built in 2006 according to eco-friendly architectural criteria, equipped with photovoltaic panels and natural air conditioning systems. From this commitment, dedication and above all great passion, a rich range of Franciacorta docg sparkling wines is born, all of great finesse and elegance and inextricably linked to the territory. They are organic wines that preserve and communicate great charm, unmissable for all lovers of bubbles.
