Baron Di Pauli

One of the oldest wineries in Alto Adige, awarded the title of "supplier of the imperial and royal court of Austria-Hungary", with appreciation also at the court of the Tsars of St. Petersburg. This is the initial presentation: the Baroni Di Pauli family boasts over 300 years of experience and passion in the world of wine in Alto Adige. The founder of the winery was Baron Andreas Di Pauli, historical protagonist of the history of Caldaro, whose descendants maintained ownership of the lake of the same name until 1901.
The Baron Di Pauli estate today consists of two distinct bodies: Arzenhof in Caldaro and Höfl Unterm Stein, near Termeno, for a total of 15 hectares of vineyards. These are sunny areas and strongly suited to viticulture, where a typically Mediterranean climate dominates, with Alpine influences, and the presence of cold currents coming from the north. Various white and red grape varieties are grown, among which the native gewürztraminer, schiava, lagrein stand out, but also "international" grapes such as riesling, pinot blanc, sauvignon blanc, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. The grape yields of the vineyards are reduced to a minimum to harvest the highest quality fruit. In the cellar, long refinements are foreseen both in the barrels and in the bottle, both for the red and white wines: this allows optimal refinement and evolution and the achievement of high levels of elegance and finesse, as well as a marked longevity of the wines themselves . Each bottle is the result of meticulous and accurate production: Arzio, Carano, Exilissi and Enosi are just some of the names of wines and stories that, by tasting the product, you will be lucky enough to be able to evoke in the glass.
