Bosio

The Bosio winery is of recent origin: the initiative started in the 90s from the family of the same name originally from Franciacorta and precisely in Corte Franca, one of the "crus" of Franciacorta, a few kilometers from Lake Iseo, in the province of Brescia. The objective is the creation of high quality wines, respectful of the environment at the same time, always at the forefront from an agronomic and oenological point of view. The winery consists of approximately twenty hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Franciacorta DOCG, where the characteristics of the land and the particularly favorable climate make the area very suitable for the cultivation of vines, especially for sparkling wine production. Since 2001 the winery has been managed by the two young brothers Laura and Cesare Bosio, who have been able to combine the important family tradition with modern technical and professional competence: Cesare thanks to his oenological training and his sister Laura who instead takes care of the company organization and commercial aspects. From an emerging reality, the Bosio company has now become one of the important wineries in the Franciacorta area. The cultivated vines are the "classic" ones of the area, even if not native, namely Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Barbera. Yields in the vineyard are kept deliberately low, with the aim of producing the highest quality. It is from all this that truly excellent labels come to life, one better than the other. From Franciacorta Brut to Satèn, from Extra Brut Millesimato to Rosé, passing through Brut Nature up to the range of still wines, the Curtefranca doc: they are all wines, those branded Bosio, capable of describing one of the best wine productions of the territory on the shores of Lake Iseo.
