Tedeschi

Tedeschi is one of the historical names of Valpolicella: the first company documents are very ancient and date back to 1630. Located in the Pedemonte area, today the company is managed by Renzo Tedeschi together with his children Antonietta, Sabrina and Riccardo. They manage the entire business by controlling the entire production process, from the cultivation of the vine (to date 46 hectares of vineyards in the best hills of Valpolicella, on a total area of 99 hectares), to the winemaking up to the sales: together they continue the family history, making wine pure grapes coming from single vineyards and therefore producing wines of unmistakable personality, a combination of strength and elegance, a true trademark of the Tedeschi winery. Work in the vineyard is fundamental, because great wines can only be made from perfect grapes: in fact, the right relationship between soil, plant, microclimate and exposure is needed, a harmony of elements that requires great attention. Research work has also been activated thanks to the zoning and characterization work carried out in some vineyards over the last three years. The recently renovated cellar has modern equipment for production and also for aging, featuring a magnificent selection of Slavonian oak barrels of different capacities. A short distance away, there is a modern "fruit shop", a ventilated room used for drying grapes, a structure designed to give life to a symbolic wine of the region, the Recioto della Valpolicella “Capitel Fontana”. The Tedeschi company therefore produces rich, structured and complex wines, with a truly recognizable style, as can be seen from some products that have now become a symbol of the company's quality, awarded with the highest awards, both in Italy and abroad: on the Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva stands out above all, presented both with the “La Fabriseria” and “Capitel Monte Olmi” labels.
