Dettori

Tenuta Dettori is a winery in Sennori, in the province of Sassari in northern Sardinia. The geographical context where Dettori wines come to life has always been the kingdom of the famous Cannonau, in fact Sennori and the very nearby municipality of Sorso together cultivate more than three hundred hectares dedicated to Cannonau. The peculiarity of the cultivation area, called Romangia, is that it is considered the most fertile part of the whole of Sardinia. The vines of Tenuta Dettori are located on the hills, with a predominantly calcareous soil, the surrounding vegetation is made up of Mediterranean scrub and olive groves. The altitude of around 250 meters gives Badde Nigolosu (the company's true cru) an ideal climate for growing grapes. Jealous guardians of ancient traditions, the Dettori use completely natural methods to produce their wines. The cellar is biodynamically run . The company, by proud choice, shuns large-scale advertising and remains faithful to the old ways of winemaking: the result is wonderful products that only an enchanted place like Sardinia can offer. The rigorously hand-harvested harvest, the cellar built with traditional techniques, and the always natural winemaking are the pillars where the Dettori have built their credibility as artisans, creators of wine. With an annual production that does not reach 50,000 bottles of wine, Tenuta Dettori has maintained its guidelines firmly since its inception: perfect symbiosis with the territory it belongs to and maximum attention to respect for the beloved land. It doesn't matter if fewer bottles are produced, the only important thing is the high quality achieved with natural methods. In a nutshell, the motto of Tenuta Dettori is enlightening to better understand its products: "We don't follow the market, we produce the wines we like, the wines of our land". Tenuta Dettori belongs to the Triple A Association , a forerunner of wine producers using natural methods.
