Tenuta Sette Ponti

Tenuta Sette Ponti extends over 330 hectares, of which 50 are vineyards, entirely in the province of Arezzo, in the Valdarno countryside, a territory already recognized in the very famous edict of 1716 as one of the four most important wine-growing areas in Tuscany. The name derives from the ancient Seven Bridges over the Arno present on the road from Florence to Arezzo. Since the 1950s, the estate has been owned by the Moretti Cuseri family. The architect Alberto purchased the first 60 hectares directly from the princesses Margherita and Maria Cristina of Savoy d'Aosta, using it mainly as a hunting reserve. But it was at the end of the 90s that the architect's son, Antonio Moretti Cuseri, began making wine on his own, producing excellent wines, including the jewel in the crown of production, the Oreno. The vineyards have favorable pedoclimatic conditions, located as they are on the gentle slopes of the Chianti hills, exposed to an average altitude of 300 meters above sea level, with soils rich in clay, sand, limestone, the typical marl of Chianti, in short, the best you can have for quality production. The typical vines of the region are grown here: Sangiovese, first of all, which finds its maximum expression here, but then also international vines such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The cellar is technologically equipped with cutting-edge equipment, as is the highly qualified cellar staff. Therefore the wines are endowed with extraordinary charm, naturally refined, which find their best synthesis in the Oreno, a Bordeaux blend of impeccable workmanship and longevity. Not only that, Antonio Moretti's enthusiasm led him to invest in new areas such as Bolgheri with Podere Orma, the Maremma of Morellino di Scansano, with Poggio al Lupo, up to Feudo Maccari, a splendid reality in Noto, in the province of Syracuse. All wineries whose wines best express the peculiar characteristics of their territory of origin, peculiarities recognizable by their finesse and elegance, true trademarks of the group.
