The history of Capichera began over thirty years ago in Gallura, an area particularly suitable for viticulture. The lands not far from Arzachena on which the Capichera vineyards stand were owned by the family, but intended for grazing. In the Seventies the Ragnedda family planted new Vermentino vines, the typical local grape variety, and built a cellar for the production of high quality wines. The brothers Fabrizio and Mario, investing their energy and enthusiasm, embarked on their journey into the world of wine. In 1981 the first Vermentino with the Capichera label began to be distributed on the market. Human interventions, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, are limited in full respect of the plant and the soil, without the use of chemical fertilizers or herbicides . The wines produced here are the fruit of the happy union between work, human creativity and nature's generosity. Capichera's production is based on the valorisation of Vermentino, but also on important and structured red wines.
