Tiefenbrunner

Our roots go deep into history. The “Linticlar” farm was first mentioned in official records dating back to 1225 AD. In 1848, the Turmhof was entered into the commercial register as a winery, making it one of the oldest estates in all of South Tyrol. Before the end of the Second World War, Herbert Tiefenbrunner (1928-2015) was introduced to the art of cellar master at the young age of 15. In 1968, his wife Hilde opened the restaurant. In 2012, it was our turn to commit ourselves to carrying on the culture and winemaking tradition of our family." With this premise, Christof, with the help of his wife Sabine, now represents the seventh generation of the Tiefenbrunner family. The winery has headquarters in Niclara, where the beautiful 12th century castle is located, home to the winery, and the surrounding park, with centuries-old plants, a pond, a hydroelectric power plant that provides energy needs and stone and wooden statues dating back to the late 19th century. Today the Tiefenbrunner winery cultivates 25 hectares of vineyards, while other winemakers in the surrounding area dedicate a further 45 hectares of land to the supply of raw materials. All the wines of the winery are fresh and mineral, thanks to the variety of the vines and the organic management of many of the vineyards the grapes come from.The flagship of the production is certainly the Muller Thurgau Feldmarschall , whose production vineyard is truly spectacular, located at over 1000 meters above sea level on the Favogna plateau in a truly unparalleled pedoclimatic context. A winery absolutely worth trying.
