In 2002, the Agripunica company was established in Sardinia to purchase 170 hectares of land and therefore give life to a joint venture between different entities: Tenuta San Guido (famous worldwide for the production of the famous Sassicaia), the Santadi winery , Antonello Pilloni president of the winery itself and the legendary Tuscan winemaker Giacomo Tachis. The experience of Agripunica was born precisely from the ideas of Tachis who thought of Sardinia and the thousand-year-old cultivations of Sulcis for the production of sensational wines. The Sulcis area is famous for its red grapes and therefore allows us to obtain important wines not only from the point of view of color, but also with regards to the structure and alcohol density of the product obtained. Geographically, the Sulcis area (also famous for hosting the Nuraghi valley) is almost totally delimited by the sea. It is thought that the practice of oenology was born in this area as early as the thirteenth century BC. The best-known wine produced in this area of Sardinia is Carignano. It is one of the few variants that manages to survive in such sandy soil and its robust, bursting, but at the same time delicate notes, make it a territorial excellence, to the point of deserving the denomination and controlled origin (DOC). The Agripunica company is concentrated on the production of three labels: two reds, Barrua and Montesseu and a particular and fine white wine called Samas. Amazing!
