Riccardo Ceretto, originally from Valdivilla (a hamlet of Santo Stefano Belbo), founded the Casa Vinicola Ceretto in Alba in the 1930s. In the 1960s, Bruno and Marcello, Riccardo's sons, selected and purchased vineyards in the Langhe and Roero, including some of the best crus of Barolo and Barbaresco for the vinification and marketing of their wines.
Today, for everyone, Ceretto is above all synonymous with the constant pursuit of excellence. The vineyards are managed in organic farming, which avoids the excessive exploitation of natural resources, continuously analyzed and monitored according to a sustainable development model that can last over time, with full respect for man and nature. The organic, and in some cases biodynamic, management was strongly desired and implemented by Alessandro Ceretto, who in 2010 decided to undertake this path and which led the wines to obtain Certification with the 2015 harvest.
160 hectares of owned vineyards, 4 cellars, 17 wines produced, 150 collaborators in the vineyard, cellar and office, 5,000 customers in wine shops and restaurants in Italy, 60 export countries. The territory and the people have always been the guiding values of Ceretto: the valorisation of the typical nature of the Langhe and its wines and the involvement of the human resources who work in the company have always been the common thread of the company philosophy.
