Montalbera

The Montalbera agricultural company was founded at the beginning of the twentieth century in an area between the municipalities of Grana, Castagnole Monferrato and Montemagno. Towards the mid-eighties, the Morando family adopted a policy of expansion that was not yet completed, with the acquisition of neighboring lands and the direct planting of new vineyards, mainly in Ruchè. Today the company is surrounded by its own vineyards arranged in a single circular shape in an entirely hilly position, with different exposures and soils ranging from clayey to calcareous. One of the peculiarities that has always distinguished Montalbera in the Piedmontese panorama is that of being a reality straddling the two great wine-growing areas of Piedmont: Monferrato and the Langhe. The Morando family has its roots in the Langhe and this bond could not fail to be expressed in the vineyard and in the cellar. For generations the Morando family has believed and invested in Piedmontese viticulture and for years has passionately dedicated itself to the valorisation of the native Ruchè. And thanks to this constant commitment, today Montalbera rightfully ranks among the great wine producers of Piedmont. The foundations of this success lie in solid and recognizable values which translate very clearly into the wines produced by the company. Rigor and planning. Interpretation and terroir.
