Elio Perrone

Stefano and his wife Giulia have taken the reins of the winery since 1989, carrying on the family tradition with passion and dedication, with the precise aim of producing quality wines that are the expression of individual vineyards. In fact, the Perrone family has been producing Barbera and Moscato d'Asti, on the splendid hills of Castiglione Tinella, since the end of the nineteenth century. Stefano likes to define his cellar as a wine tailor's shop with the aim of supporting the vineyards, observing the plants and studying the lines of their bunches. During the summer he imagines the shapes that his wines will have after the harvest, in order to enhance them, to exalt them, so as to let them express themselves. Running a vineyard is a question of sensitivity, not of dominance. The production of the Perrone winery is today diversified between expressive Moscato d'Asti linked to the Monferrato traditions and high-class Barbera. These are oenological pearls born from centuries-old know-how and the dynamic and innovative spirit of Stefano and Giulia: a story of love and good wines.
