Lenardo's family has been cultivating vineyards in Ontagnano in Friuli since 1878. The property is 150 hectares, 45 of which are planted with vineyards. From historical tradition to current events: a transition that took shape with the 1987 harvest when the decision was made to press only the grapes of its own production and which was accompanied by new vineyards with highly selected varieties. Again from that date, with the arrival of Massimo, the winery has shown new vitality and great development by expanding towards the foreign market: hence the choice to dedicate itself to the cultivation of international vines and the decision to give many wines English names . The native vines grown are Friulano, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and Verduzzo. Starting from the '98 harvest, the winemaking direction was assumed personally by Massimo who soon brought the 600,000 bottles produced per year to over twenty countries around the world. Massimo's philosophy is to place emphasis on the purity of the grapes, using cutting-edge technology and producing unique wines, which do not reflect regional tradition, but embody its spirit. Furthermore, as a contribution to protecting the environment , since 2009 the Di Lenardo winery has only used the energy produced by the solar panels that cover the entire roof of the structure.
