Madeira Verdelho is a top quality label created by the renowned company Henriques & Henriques , which has been dedicated to the production of various types of fortified wines and liqueurs for over two hundred years. Strengthened by a centuries-old tradition, the heirs of this historical production reality employ a traditional philosophy by bringing few but significant innovations to a rigorous process. In this case, the choice is to use grapes from a single harvest year, to enhance the result of particularly favorable climatic conditions for the production of this liqueur. It is obtained exclusively from Verdelho grapes, one of the most widespread vines in the Azores islands. The base wine is fortified thanks to the addition of alcohol, which allows to preserve the correct balance of sugars inside. The refinement takes place in typical wooden barrels, suitable for giving the liqueur all the tertiary scents. Madeira Verdelho can be stored for a long time in the cellar, but it is perfect to drink right away.
