Malvasia Nera Salento PGI Old Tower 2021

Malvasia is an Apulian red wine signed by the Vecchia Torre winery, present in the territory of the province of Lecce for more than fifty years. Passion, care and above all collaboration are the pillars on which the company is founded and which make this red a guarantee of quality. Produced 100% from grapes of the Malvasia Nera vine, it has the IGP Salento Rosso denomination. The soil that gives life to the Malvasia vines is deep, of alluvial origin and with areas tending towards limestone. Following the destemming of the grapes, the must is left to macerate for 6/7 days. The alcoholic fermentation and, subsequently, the malolactic one are followed by an aging in barriques for about 4 months. Inked color, intense on the nose, with fruity and soft aromas, the strength and structure are felt alive in the glass on the palate; long and persistent in the finish with notes of tobacco, spices, black cherries. The Malvasia IGP Salento wine can be tasted and brought to the tables during cheerful lunches and dinners, to better savor all its body and softness, starting from the second year after the harvest.
