It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

Maranges Rouge is a red wine produced by the Domaine Pierre Matrot winery, located in the Côte de Beaune, one of the best known areas of Burgundy. This is certainly one of the most accessible wines of the famous winery: Maranges Rouge represents an extremely intense and persistent expression of the typical scents of Pinot Noir, the vine with which it is made. The grapes, vinified alone, are grown on vineyards that extend for a couple of hectares and boast an age that varies between seventy and eighty years! They are located on a hilly area, made up of clayey-limestone soils and can boast an excellent south-east exposure. The production process follows the Burgundy tradition and therefore uses French oak barriques in the vinification and aging process. The result is an intense wine, but extremely pleasant to drink. Excellent to accompany a lunch or dinner with friends, Maranges Rouge shows good potential for evolution if left in the cellar for three or four years.
