'Materic' Nerello Mascalese Terre Siciliane IGT Cantine Pellegrino 2019

The Materico Nerello Mascalese Terre Siciliane IGT is a fragrant and elegant red wine, made by Cantine Pellegrino , a company that, historically, aims to innovate the island's viticulture. It is obtained by vinifying exclusively grapes of the native Nerello Mascalese variety. The vineyards of the winery are located on soils rich in minerals and nutrients in the Agro di Salaparuta. Here the vines can count on breezes and perfect exposure to reach ideal ripeness. The harvest phase is very careful and involves a selection of the best bunches. In the cellar the vinification begins with a partial maceration at low temperatures, followed by a spontaneous fermentation inside steel vats. To preserve the varietal notes, the aging continues in steel, where the wine remains for four months before bottling. It follows that Materico Nerello Mascalese Terre Siciliane IGT is an excellent red wine to be enjoyed immediately to appreciate all the freshness that distinguishes it, but also adapted to aging in the cellar which enriches it with very interesting tertiary scents.
