'Mazon Riserva' Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC Hofstatter 2019

The Riserva Mazon Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC is an elegant and complex red wine made by the Hofstatter winery. To produce this prestigious label, only Pinot Noir grapes are vinified, which are grown on the estate's vineyards, in the surroundings of Egna. Here the vines enjoy unique characteristics, both in terms of soil composition and sun exposure, capable of giving the grapes a very interesting mineral profile. Once maturation has taken place, the meticulous manual harvesting operations are followed by the vinification in contact with the skins. The steps include a first spontaneous alcoholic fermentation and a subsequent refinement of at least a year and a half. This last phase is divided between small and large oak barrels. Riserva Mazon Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC is an excellent wine right from the start, but capable of giving very pleasant surprises after 5-6 years spent in the cellar.
