'Merlino 1906' Trentino DOC Lagrein Red fortified Pojer and Sandri 50 Cl

It is a truly particular wine, fortified (therefore with the addition of alcohol) and with the bunches of the varieties that compose it attacked by noble rot (such as Sauternes) and that the night temperature drops below zero. It is composed of: Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Riesling Renano, Gewurztraminer, Kerner and resistant varieties (PIWI). The grapes are harvested as late as possible, usually in late November, early December. Deep straw yellow wine. With a very intense and complex aroma, in which many sensations can be recognized: among the most evident, ripe fruit: peach, melon, currant, tropical fruit: banana, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, all inserted in the elegance deriving from noble rot. The taste is fresh, full, with an aromatic body and rightly sweet. It goes well with spicy gorgonzola or similar cheeses, with goose pâté and with dry desserts, tarts. Excellent wine for meditation and meeting.
